Well, that sucks.

So I was just running around Shadowmoon Valley, casually listening to verve's guild chat, minding my own business, when the "let's share what loot we got from kara" portion starts happening because one group finished their run. A bunch of stuff that I don't care about was talked about, one of the groups finally pulled off a full kara clear in one night without any wipes (but it took them like 5-6 hours), and then I see this hunter tell everyone that he got THE GUN. Normally I'd be congratulatory about it, but here's the thing: He's already got Sunfury. And he's not a dwarf. AND he's MM spec. That's just pure lose on his end.

But that's not really what the problem is. See, this guy is one of those people that thinks "Hey, I can use it, must be a hunter weapon!" So he rolls on ANYTHING he could possibly "use," including stuff that does absolutely no good for a hunter, like The Decapitator and all sorts of swords and daggers that drop. Sure a lot of those swords and daggers could be used by hunters, but rogues should get preference over them because they are directly linked to their DPS and are often a much better upgrade for them than it would be for a hunter.

This hunter (whose name I shall not say but you can check out his armory profile here) not only rolls on anything he could "use," but he absolutely hates it when there's any other hunters in the group. And on a server that's over populated with hunters, that's rarely gonna be the case. He just whines and moans about every little thing that he has to deal with, it's non-stop and incredibly annoying. Personally, I'd like to see him gkicked, but since I've got no control over that, I'm probably just going to start a coup and try and drag a bunch of people over to my guild where there will be NO tolerance for people like that.*

Oh, and to top it all off, I'm pretty sure I could out-DPS him without even busting out everything I've got. All purple does NOT mean you do good DPS. PvP gear in PvE = insta-lose. Same thing goes for PvP specs. If you're gonna put talent points into BM when you're MM spec'd and raiding, DON'T PUT THEM IN THE HEALTH AND ARMOR TALENTS!

---------------------------------------

Well, that turned into more of a "I'm really annoyed at this person right this instant (even though it's been going on for a while)" post than I was hoping...Let's see if I can recover and get it back to what it was supposed to be.

--------------------------------------

Alright, the real purpose of this post was to vent about how greed can destroy reputations. When I first met the above mentioned hunter, I thought he was a good guy, easy enough to deal with and fairly laid back...then he started raiding. I didn't even partake in the raids he was in and I still knew how greedy he was. This totally plummeted how he appeared to me, I now think of him as a tool and unless he manages to do something crazy like, say, give a certain pattern I want, there will be no changing of my mind on this matter.

This has, essentially, ruined any chance of friendship that their might have been. All because of the greed he showed during his time raiding. Now, I'm absolutely certain that he's not the only person out there who does those sort of things, and you've probably met some people who are like that so you know what I'm talking about. This sort of thing can not only ruin his reputation, but the entire guild's standing as an honorable guild if he goes into PUG groups and does the same thing. This should never be tolerated by guild leaders, as it drags down everyone surrounding that player.

Now there are some fairly simple ways to avoid this sort of greed in a guild. The most obvious would be to implement one of the many DKP systems that are available for use. That would stop the "I'm gonna roll on everything I can" attitude dead in its tracks, because they'd have to conserve their DKP for something that actually was an upgrade as opposed to rolling willy-nilly. Frankly, guild leaders should be very open to this idea and not be so stubborn as to only be using the looting systems that have been given to us by Blizzard. There will be much discussion going on between Marcy and myself on this topic in the near future, but for now that's all I'm going to say.

Karazhan here I come!

Well, after months and months of putting it off I've finally gotten my key to Kara. Random BM run to get someone else the key and I was all over it :P

I've also officially been designated to the Tuesday group which works way better for me than the Friday group does (early work on Saturday mornings) so I'm fairly stoked on it. I'll be entering for the first time on this coming tuesday and proving my worth as an "under geared" hunter. (I'm not under geared, everyone else just has better stuff.) It'll be kind of annoying if [Legacy] Drops though, what with the recent upgrade from Shadow Labyrinth. I will, however, be incredibly excited if I get a new gun...but that's kind of wishful thinking and the assumption that we get to the Opera Event and it happens to be the Big Bad Wolf.

In all seriousness I that Opera event has 3 different pieces of gear that I want fairly badly. To name them with out actually naming them, I want some new shoulder armor, a new gun, and a new melee weapon from the Opera event, which makes it officially a minimum of 3 runs through the Opera Event. Oh well, all will come in due time. Bonus awesomeness: Kara should provide me with a good chunk of BoJs to make me some new gear. I'm stoked on that too.

That's all for now.

Killing Frenzy News.

Today, Sunday February 10th, at 10:00 am PST, Killing Frenzy attempted Kara for the first time. They downed the first boss rather handily, and are pretty sure they know how to take down the second boss, so it's just a matter of time before they're running through it without any difficulty. One and a half bosses may seem like a small step, but it's in the right direction and even small steps get you closer to your goal.

Congratulations team on a job well done, You make me proud....though I'm not entirely sure why you should care about making me proud, I'm just the comic relief. Seriously though, good work team, now I've just gotta work on becoming part of the Kara team :P

I'll keep y'all posted on KF's progression, 'cause it's kind of a big part of my WoW experience.
