Basically: Dailies, Crafting, Dailies, and throw in a few heroics.
Fishing Daily=Excellent, Tox is en route to maxing his fishing with no small part of it being directly linked to the fact that I want the fishing stuff from the daily.
Made Dram some gear, in the process of getting primal shadows for that chest piece I was talking about earlier. I used a bunch of them in order to get [Fel Leather Leggings] which I threw [Glinting Noble Topaz], [Jagged Talasite], and [Balanced Nightseye] in order to trigger my [Swift Skyfire Diamond] in my goggles.
Dram's been doing SSO dailies regularly, and while he's at it he's farming engineering patterns that my hunter friends and I will thoroughly appreciate. It's surprisingly efficient to farm for [Schematic: Khorium Scope] while also going for the sunfury attack plans. He's getting up the rep, slowly but surely, and will have the assassin's alchemist stone pattern long before he has the regular alchemist's stone pattern, basically strictly due to the fact that I rarely run instances.
As for the heroics, well Dram did his first two one night with the same group (Ramps and Underbog) and go nil for loot, but like 7 badges, so that was good. Tox got into a Steamvaults group some time after they had taken out the first boss so it was pretty clear sailing in there. It also happened to be the daily heroic, so bonus badges for him ;)
Oh, and I've totally lost track of all the blogs I like reading...I'm WAY behind, but catching up is gonna be tough...But I'll get it done at one point or another, just too much WoWing going on, not enough blogging.
That's enough of that, I need to work on getting more schematics.
Good Hunting,
Tox

Ah, good times...
So earlier today...or yesterday...whatever. Anyways, on Friday afternoon I was just casually running through my regular route of dailies (pick them up in Shatt, head to Nagrand for 2, off to Blade's Edge for another, over to Netherstorm, down to Hellfire for another 2, south to SMV, then back to Shatt) when a pally friend of mine calls me up. Apparently he was lacking on some DPS for heroic Slave Pens. I had only recently finished making so it takes some convincing to get me to go. Not much convincing, cause I totally need the rep, but still some.
So off I go, my first time into slave pens. Yup, I'm doing it again, first time in an instance and it's heroic. They said it was easy so I'm not too worried, the guy knows what I'm capable of. Here's the catch: When I show up from the summoning, we've only got 4 people. We were missing a DPS/cc class. They're generally a dime a dozen, so I figured we'd just snag one from one of their guilds.
That never happened. We decided to 4 man it. Sure we had a good tank and a crazy healer, but still. 4 man heroic? and one of them is level 68? This is gonna be fun. Into the instance we trek, first few pulls go over like nobody's business. Hell, everything went smoothly for the majority of the instance. There was one time where me and the other hunter (the level 68 guy) missed the jump on the short cut (which I didn't know about) and they decided to go the "long way" of killing the 5 mobs we would have skipped otherwise, but that was it as far as not good things happening.
We downed the first two bosses rather easily with just the four of us, but that second boss apparently just really didn't like me as I somehow managed to make my auto-shot/misdirect/feed pet not work anymore at the very start of the fight. And I was the main DPS. Great...that's fan-freakin'-tastic. So I only used steady shot for the whole fight. That put a massive dent in my DPS and damage output, not to mention a major time set back for the group. Apparently when they've got a full group going in there he's down in no time flat. Yup, major setback with that glitch.
After the fight I restart WoW (even though I couldn't use the log out function or the "escape" menu) and get back into things. This time I screw up even harder. I was supposed to chain trap one of the coilfang rays. That didn't happen, I broke my own trap on the very first one. I was dead so fast the other guys didn't know what hit me. EPIC FAIL.
So with the remarkably fast epic on my end, they've got 6 elite mobs on the loose and the other hunter's traps are frequently resisted. Somehow they manage to pull it off. No one has any idea as to how they did it, but they did and no one else died because of my stupidity.
Next pull, 2 casters, 2 champions. Champions fear. Tanks don't like fear. I'm supposed to trap one of the casters. I HATE trapping casters. I mean, if they're not the kind that don't have any attacking spells anyways. I can deal with the ones that just heal or whatever, but attacking casters just annoy the crap out of me when trapping. Especially when I don't have either A) a lot of space or B) something to hide behind. Such was the case here. It resulted in a wipe and then calling it. I didn't do the calling of "it," and chances are that I could have performed better the second time, but whatever, we one-shotted two heroic bosses with four peeps, one of which was level 68. Frankly I think we done good. Cheers to us!
Alright, that's it, I'm gonna call it a night.

Stoked-ness
This may not appear to be that big of an accomplishment, but I finally got me my [Sonic Spear]! This little bugger was the weapon I saw on level 70 hunters back when I was in my 30s and drooled over. It's basically the 2 handed weapon I've wanted since I started using Polearms. Axes never really floated my boat (even though I've been using them for a long time), Swords are cool and all but not really my style as a hunter, but Polearms just kick the crap out them both. Now to slap a Savagery enchant on there (after finding someone that can do it (Oooh, just remembered that someone in the guild picked it up on a Shattered Halls run the other day, that's grand news.)), and I'll be set for Kara. This was like the last thing I needed to replace before Kara, though it didn't really need replacing, and I never thought it would actually happen. I was definitely agitated after it, so I went and did some dailies to go cool down. And while I was at it I hit revered with the Netherwing. Sweet, one more rank and I'll have a dragon to ride.
Clarification Request: Dailies are quest that are infinitely repeatable but may only be completed once per day, up to a maximum of 10 different quests with the "Daily" tag can be done per day. The majority of them become available to you after you hit level 70, but I've seen a couple that can be done in the early 60s. As far as I know they all take place in the Outlands, many of them requiring flying mounts to be able to do. There are many different types but generally people tend to focus on dailies that give them reputation with certain factions in order to get the ability to buy better gear or specific recipes for their trade skills.
If you need/want to know anything else, just ask.
