Adventures of a Toolock: Zul'Farrak

This all started when I was sitting in Tanaris staring at the list of chores people had given me, and thinking that they're way out of my league, 'cause, ya know, they are. I mean, most of the things I was sent to go kill were at least level 45, and I was only level 40 at the time. Going to Tanaris wasn't the "smartest" thing I could have done, that's for sure. Some of these guys even wanted me to go into a dungeon full of Trolls level 45-49! No freakin' way I was gonna do that without some major support.

So that's what I did, I got some major support from a magey type friend of mine. She happened to be bored out of her mind and "in debt" to me, if you catch my drift. Dunno why, but apparently most of my friends are of the lady variety...probably my lighthearted EVILness and charm.

So anyway, she shows up in Gadgetzan and we start headin' for Zul'Farrak, what with all the evil and trolls and mandatory groupage unless you've got friends in high places. We run there on our horses, hers armor plated, mine flaming and flesh-devouring. Non-trollite (troll elite, get it?) mobs hanging around the outside of the place almost cause a problem, but I didn't get dazed so we just booked it into the dungeon. Mob Evasion 101, I should write that book, I'm good at it. Evading mobs, not writing, so don't yell at me for liking my own writing style.

In to Zul'Farrak we head! I summon my imp (who I keep forgetting the name of, what with him being useless to me while soloing), 'cause he's got better party skills and we go after the first group. Sheepage, desctruction, AoE, it's just a massacre. They didn't stand a chance. I mostly just stood there and watched, trying to get my DoTs off. That didn't exactly work too well...I rarely got a chance to hit 'em with Curse of Agony and Corruption before they were dead.

We are romping quite nicely through this troll temple and things are going smoothly. We head to the right at the big intersection (you know the one, you can either go towards Gahz'rilla, or head over to the bug pit) and kill off a bunch of trolls, no biggy. Bug pit happened, AoE explosion, lots o' dead things, and randomly killed the boss type guy that happened to be in there as well. Afterwards I'm trying to convince her to kill a boss she often forgets about and I aggro something. Fun stuff...I run back towards my mage friend, she's not paying attention. I fear the bugger, but he's like 5 levels higher than me so it doesn't last long. Right before I die she kicks into action.

You know that part where I soul-stoned her? Ya, bad call, she's no healer so there's no way I can become not dead except by running back to my body...Oh well, it gave her time to run to the bank in Gadgetzan and pick up her gong-mallet thing to summon Gahz'rilla. That happens, we get back at it, kill a rare spawn who only dropped a green enchant-fodder for me, and head over to the witch doctor boss. Now, we're both casters...we don't normally "stand close" to things that we're attacking, so we don't really know what to do for this guy...he's just sitting there all green and friendly like...Until one of us ventures into his "sanctum"...well, that went easily enough, random spawns, AoE, flaming death on his part, and some new gloves for me ;).

More death and destruction via mage, more standing around trying to look useful on my part. Lots o' greenies, an enchant pattern and a crazy AoE fight later and I've completed 3 of the quests that were assigned to me that people thought I was crazy to accept. Take THAT random people! Not that random people matter or anything.

Anyways, lot's of Enchanting Fodder for upping my Skeelz, a full level's worth of experience, some new gloves and my first trinket. To quote my mage partner in crime: "Yay carrots!" Though I'm not really sure how a carrot on a stick entices my flaming, flesh-devouring demon horse to run any faster....*shifty eyes*

That was all fun and good, now it's time to make some rather kickass purple/pink shirts or some black dresses ;)

Cheers!
Thamlack.

Muah!! I love it. Absolutely love it. Yes, I STILL need to get this stuff done. We need to get together soon so I can do some meager additions!
