And so it begins....

*Scheme-y fingers*....Yessss.....Yes indeed....

*shifty eyes*...Well, that was overly insidious of me. Anyways, I somehow doubt anyone actually cares about what I've been up to, but this be me blog, so this be me news report...in a way...

Anyways, I've really not been up to much of anything in WoW...Getting my Toolock up to level 50 just to get his enchanting and tailoring up to master level (Tailoring maxed for now, enchanting at 275), and he's currently at level 44. It's going rather well when I put my mind to it. I'm totally and completely avoiding Stranglethorn Vale though, cause that place got very, VERY annoying on as a hunter, and I LOVE being a hunter.

In other news: Due to mandatory "family time," any chance of me raiding anything with people I know has come to a complete and utter halt. Plus I'm not really looking for a group of people that have the same approximate schedule that I could raid with. Oh well, such is life.

Now, I'm sure I could put some of my own effort into getting some epic shoulder gear, but again, that'd take some serious looking for a group that runs when I can, and I have yet to see anyone raiding when I'm generally available. So on that note: We (the realm of Bladefist) are finally getting guilds that are running BT and putting out the epic patterns from there in the AH, so I'm just sitting and waiting for [Pattern: Shoulders of Lightning Reflexes] to show up there. I know they're at that level of raiding, I've seen the other BT leatherworking shoulder patterns.

Am I willing to pay crazy amounts of moola in order to get it? Hellz ya! (but don't tell them that, I want it too be as low as possible too :P) Do I want T6 quality gear before I've actually killed Shade of Aran? So much so that I'm willing to pay for it when it first hits the market. Bragging rights FTW? Yes. Yes indeed. The only thing that'll stand in the way of me and finishing that pattern will be the 2 [Heart of Darkness] that are required to craft it...I don't expect to see them on the market for a much longer time than the pattern due to the need of shadow resist gear in BT.

Naturally I'm wishing for it, but I don't expect it to happen for a good chunk of time...Maybe by then I'll have gotten any sort of Kara run in and will no longer be able to claim being fairly well geared hunter that has absolutely no Kara gear. Not something I really want, but hey, if it means I get my gun, then I'm all for it.

Anyways, I've lost any train of schemey thought, so I'm gonna header.

Good Hunting,
Tox

Adventures of a Toolock: Zul'Farrak

This all started when I was sitting in Tanaris staring at the list of chores people had given me, and thinking that they're way out of my league, 'cause, ya know, they are. I mean, most of the things I was sent to go kill were at least level 45, and I was only level 40 at the time. Going to Tanaris wasn't the "smartest" thing I could have done, that's for sure. Some of these guys even wanted me to go into a dungeon full of Trolls level 45-49! No freakin' way I was gonna do that without some major support.

So that's what I did, I got some major support from a magey type friend of mine. She happened to be bored out of her mind and "in debt" to me, if you catch my drift. Dunno why, but apparently most of my friends are of the lady variety...probably my lighthearted EVILness and charm.

So anyway, she shows up in Gadgetzan and we start headin' for Zul'Farrak, what with all the evil and trolls and mandatory groupage unless you've got friends in high places. We run there on our horses, hers armor plated, mine flaming and flesh-devouring. Non-trollite (troll elite, get it?) mobs hanging around the outside of the place almost cause a problem, but I didn't get dazed so we just booked it into the dungeon. Mob Evasion 101, I should write that book, I'm good at it. Evading mobs, not writing, so don't yell at me for liking my own writing style.

In to Zul'Farrak we head! I summon my imp (who I keep forgetting the name of, what with him being useless to me while soloing), 'cause he's got better party skills and we go after the first group. Sheepage, desctruction, AoE, it's just a massacre. They didn't stand a chance. I mostly just stood there and watched, trying to get my DoTs off. That didn't exactly work too well...I rarely got a chance to hit 'em with Curse of Agony and Corruption before they were dead.

We are romping quite nicely through this troll temple and things are going smoothly. We head to the right at the big intersection (you know the one, you can either go towards Gahz'rilla, or head over to the bug pit) and kill off a bunch of trolls, no biggy. Bug pit happened, AoE explosion, lots o' dead things, and randomly killed the boss type guy that happened to be in there as well. Afterwards I'm trying to convince her to kill a boss she often forgets about and I aggro something. Fun stuff...I run back towards my mage friend, she's not paying attention. I fear the bugger, but he's like 5 levels higher than me so it doesn't last long. Right before I die she kicks into action.

You know that part where I soul-stoned her? Ya, bad call, she's no healer so there's no way I can become not dead except by running back to my body...Oh well, it gave her time to run to the bank in Gadgetzan and pick up her gong-mallet thing to summon Gahz'rilla. That happens, we get back at it, kill a rare spawn who only dropped a green enchant-fodder for me, and head over to the witch doctor boss. Now, we're both casters...we don't normally "stand close" to things that we're attacking, so we don't really know what to do for this guy...he's just sitting there all green and friendly like...Until one of us ventures into his "sanctum"...well, that went easily enough, random spawns, AoE, flaming death on his part, and some new gloves for me ;).

More death and destruction via mage, more standing around trying to look useful on my part. Lots o' greenies, an enchant pattern and a crazy AoE fight later and I've completed 3 of the quests that were assigned to me that people thought I was crazy to accept. Take THAT random people! Not that random people matter or anything.

Anyways, lot's of Enchanting Fodder for upping my Skeelz, a full level's worth of experience, some new gloves and my first trinket. To quote my mage partner in crime: "Yay carrots!" Though I'm not really sure how a carrot on a stick entices my flaming, flesh-devouring demon horse to run any faster....*shifty eyes*

That was all fun and good, now it's time to make some rather kickass purple/pink shirts or some black dresses ;)

Cheers!
Thamlack.

Progress Report (or lack thereof)

5 sigs currently, 2 more confirmed (but they're busy with other stuff), and I've still got more friends I'm pretty sure I can convince to sign, especially since I'm only requesting alt signatures and I'm a loveable little scamp :P

In other news: I've been pumping my lock full of 'roids and he's now at level 37 and working on his tailoring and enchanting. He's still doing stuff that's far out his league, but hey, it's just giving him more enchanting mats for that side of things.

Dramthar's officially ravaged Nagrand of all the level 65 solo quests, so he's gonna have to find a group to do the rest of them with...or just go and attempt to ding in the bone wastes where he's still got some quests to finish.

None of my other alts are going anywhere for now, though I plan on eventually having them all at a decent level to help out The Toxnation in its pursuit of helpfulness and/or hanging out-itude.

Good Hunting,
Tox
