Adventures of a Toolock: The Dreaded Quest - part 1

Thamlack here, Apparently it's been too long since I said anything here...Dumb ole Tox has been buggin' me for a while to say somethin' but I just haven't felt like it. Procrastination, thy name is Thamlack.

All he uses me for nowadays is disenchanting stuff anyway...I'm feelin' kinda left out. Or at least I was, until late one night when he called up Marcy to see if she could help my in my pursuit of a Dread Steed. I needed to take out of a bunch of undead hooligans in the Western Plaguelands.

With a mage of her caliber it was quite a simple task. Araj was the first target, right smack dab in the middle of Andorhal. That was a two shot kill, and only because Marcy's currently an icy specialist. In her fiery incarnation she probably woulda been able to take him out in one blazing shot with glory and a flaming prowess known only to Mages.

Araj down, we head back to the Argent Dawn encampment to turn in some quests. And that's where I made Toxnation History. I'm the first one of the tox-specific people to obtain the Skeleton Key...only because Tox never needed/did Scholo and Dram's an effing rogue...danged rogues and their lock picking skill.../envy.

Anyways, after that we head on over to Scholo to unleash my canned-imp on an alchemy lab there to get me some high end paper needed to write down something or a spell or whatever, and along the way we just happen to stumble upon 2-3 bosses that were begging to be killed. The memory is kinda fading, it's been a while and undead all blur together...there's just so many of 'em.

Down they go, like the big pile of stinkin' rotten corpses they are. I get some niffty blue things to disenchant into large brilliant shards, which I do and will benefit me in my search to get better enchanting via making that green enchanting rod that I apparently need to improve my skills. Oh, and somewhere in there a shadow priest shows up and decides to help us out by pretending to heal.

Raiding shadow priest can heal level 60 instances pretty danged well if I do say so myself. Though we almost had difficulty with this one section that had non-elite skeletons that were totally and completely immune to magic. Luckily, I've got a fel guard...and we all improved our skills to use staves. Fun times in Scholo? I think yes!

There's a few times where someone goes off and pulls the a full room, and I forgot to soulstone people a lot, but otherwise it was pretty good. Oh, and I'm totally an aggro magnet. Level 61 people REALLY attract mobs that are only 1-3 levels below them...in an instance...when running with level 70 people...yeah....

Well, all that went fairly smoothly, lots of undeath and junk, many many killings, and I picked up a bunch of stuff I'll need for other projects I'm working on. Next time I'm in town I'll probably get working on doing the whole "Summoning a dreadstead, defeating it, then using it to ride around" thing. That'll probably happen in the next few weeks while Tox prepares for Northrend and gets himself a bunch of new pets and stuff.

Alright, that's enough out of me...hopefull Tox'll be happy with that...the slave driver.

Cheers.
